Those badges are discontinued because GM changed all the badge designs with the next gen newer truck. So they don’t make that style anymore.

Yeah I would consider getting the new style but I don't know how the original paint will look on the other side under the badge... Or maybe I'll just leave that side alone for now and wait to get backed into that side next.

Because it's old. After a certain time, if the trucks prove popular which I believe they will, then places like LMC Truck and Year One, etc. will have them made again.

We're at the point where the average GMT800 is fully depreciated and most that have problems head to the scrap yard instead of getting overhauled.

Yeah but it's not like they're 40 years old. Mine isn't even 15 years old. And I still see multiple similar trucks driving around everyday.

More than likely the paint under the badge on the other side will be just fine. It’s covered so it’s not getting sun damaged. You could go with the newer style badges, pull the old on off, hit it with a little polish and then put the new badge on and it’ll look even with the other side of the other side has fresh paint from the body shop.

A long time ago, GM said they would keep making parts for 12 years after that particular model year. I've seen some where they did not honor that, or certain parts. Badges like that are restoration parts and if these things get into a wreck they are usually totaled now so there's no need to keep making parts.

Be patient and set up a search on ebay with the part number and maybe the description and they will send you alerts when new ones are listed. Be patient, they'll show up.

I thought legally, they (and all manufacturers), had to make the parts to repair, available for 10 years after they end the model.

Part number: 15036137

The square ones are from older models I believe. I don't want the autoride ones. Nothing listed for ones that don't say autoride?

Why the hell would they be discontinued??
Just in case anyone searches for this:

"LS" 15036135
"LT" 15036136
"SL" 15036133
"SLE" 15036134
"SLT" 15036137

(no clue what it looks like, but)
"SLT QUADRASTEER" 15768779

These were originally $7.32 from the dealer..

$44.40 On amazon. How bad do you want it?

I came across most of those as well. Did you see they're all out of stock though except for the last one? The last one I'm just unsure about.

That's what I thought as well although I was thinking longer than that.

Holy shit what'd you search for to find that on Amazon?? $44 is reasonable considering how hard it's been trying to find one lately!
