I have a lead on a Nav unit out of a 2010 Sierra 1500 with Bose, part number 25966513. It's in a town about 4 hours from home and I'll be there for a job tomorrow and would like to snag it if it'll work for me. I need to coordinate with the seller ASAP so an answer is somewhat urgent.

My '08 is an LTZ with the "regular" radio with Bose/XM/OnStar and the rear seat radio controls and not the headliner-mounted flip-down DVD. Is this unit compatible with my Tahoe, assuming I can find a competent dealer to properly and fully reprogram it? It's from a Sierra, but does that mean it will still keep the rear seat radio controls functional once programmed or is that a hardware feature? I'm not so concerned about the Nav part and I don't use OnStar. I really just want it for the touchscreen, USB and backup camera (I've already researched what's needed to get a video signal to it). I just want everything I have now: steering wheel controls, chimes, Bose sound, rear radio controls, XM, etc. to remain functional but have the additional features of the newer unit.

I ran across that name and number while researching today. It's good to know he has a bigger following than what appears. Thanks for the info.

Waiting on a call back from Greg, but I'll ask here in the meantime: I plugged in the NAV to see if I could do the test where you turn the key to the "ACC" position to check audio functions. I couldn't get it to do anything other than show the blue "THEFTLOCKED" screen. I'm not so worried about that at the moment. My main concern is that this unit has 4 plugs and I only have 2 in my dash. I assume I have the power, sound, steering wheel control, rear seat controls and XM connections. What are the others that I am missing? I don't care about the NAV stuff, but would the rearview camera circuit go to any of the other two? I believe that's the only other function I want to utilize.

^ That harness is for a 2012 Radio. He has a 2010 which only difference is it has USB. I did the same thing to my 07 - put a USB nav in it, and Greg had to unlock it, and program it to work. Straight up dude, he will take care of you.

Also - You will need the brown plug which gives it the VSS signal and also allows for a backup cam. I have a few laying around. PM me and ill send one to you.

So, I don't need that harness Bo linked me to, but just the one brown plug you have? Coincidentally, I got in touch with Greg a few hours ago. He said the radio I have will work fine, but will probably just run a little slower and warmer because it will constantly be looking for the rear DVD module that doesn't exist. He mentioned that I will need the VSS plug. He also mentioned I will need a NAV antenna even if I'm not gonna use the nav, otherwise the clock will always say 12:00. I completely forgot to ask about the camera input. But, this brown plug you have has the VSS and camera input, so that should be all I need? PM coming...
