I have a lead on a Nav unit out of a 2010 Sierra 1500 with Bose, part number 25966513. It's in a town about 4 hours from home and I'll be there for a job tomorrow and would like to snag it if it'll work for me. I need to coordinate with the seller ASAP so an answer is somewhat urgent.
My '08 is an LTZ with the "regular" radio with Bose/XM/OnStar and the rear seat radio controls and not the headliner-mounted flip-down DVD. Is this unit compatible with my Tahoe, assuming I can find a competent dealer to properly and fully reprogram it? It's from a Sierra, but does that mean it will still keep the rear seat radio controls functional once programmed or is that a hardware feature? I'm not so concerned about the Nav part and I don't use OnStar. I really just want it for the touchscreen, USB and backup camera (I've already researched what's needed to get a video signal to it). I just want everything I have now: steering wheel controls, chimes, Bose sound, rear radio controls, XM, etc. to remain functional but have the additional features of the newer unit.
