Just now found this thread - I too bought one of these FPCMs last summer as a spare. It fits perfectly in its cardboard shipping box in the storage tray behind the 3rd row. I've seen enough failures of this module on this forum to know that while it's not a "common" failure, it can happen and the ramifications of being stranded vs a 15min R&R job to replace it is priceless.

As far as programming - it's correct that the FPCM on the '21+ platform does not need it. For reference, if a GM module requires programming, there's a symbol with a wrench and arrows pointing left/right like the climate control module shown below. That symbol is not present on the FPCM and nothing needs to be done outside of removing the old and plugging in the new.

FWIW - I got my FPCM through Rock Auto - it was $30 at the time. Unfortunately it looks like they are on back order right now through RA...

StephenPT thanks for adding to the thread. Assume the picutre you included was to show the graphic in the lower right of the lable for a version that needs programming.

I would be curious what part number you ended up with from Rock Auto. It seems this FPCM has been superceded a few times. Unclear if the newer part number #13554821 is more reliable or just from a different supplier? While you may not have the latest part number, given it is new, at least if will get you back on the road. Even the part #13554821 may be superceded at some point in the near future.

Yes - the picture I included is a climate control module, just for illustration of the "programming required" symbol GM uses on all of their ECUs.

I received 13554821 from Rock Auto. It's listed as a direct replacement to 5 other GM FPCMs. The FPCM installed on my '22 Yukon XL (built early May '22) is 13537053. This FPCM is listed as being superseded by 13554821.

I'm willing to bet that it's already being superseded hence why it's pretty much out of stock everywhere.

That being said, Summit Racing's website states that more will be available Feb. 27th.

I'm going to try my luck with Shea Chevrolet.

There are several other part number that preceded 13554821. Yours might have 13537053, 13544060, 13544950, or 13545846. My guess would either 7053 or 4821.

Crawl under the left side of the frame and with the right angle of view you’ll be able to see the part number without removing it from the frame.

The build date on my truck is 8/2024 so assume it is likely the 4821 module. Will try to check later today. Was all under the truck a few days ago permanently installing my Park Release cable tool. So I at least can force the transmission into neutral if I ever need to move or tow the truck. Hopefully I will never need to use it, but at least I will not need to crawl under the in the rain or snow and worry about the truck rolling over me!!!

So I ordered one from Shea and one from Summit Racing. Shea just emailed saying the following "I am processing this order and wanted to let you know that I do not have the fuel pump control module in stock. I can have it from our GM factory warehouse in about 1 day, so this order will ship tomorrow. Please reply to this email and let me know if I should get this order started for you."

I'm not holding my breath.
