Hey quick question before i make a new thread. How do you get TDC? turn crank bolt clockwise? with old cam in or not?

You can turn it in either direction. The piston will be at the top at one point per revolution. Doesn't matter if the cam is in or not if you're just wanting the #1 piston to be at TDC. I recently wrote out the steps for this in another thread, lemme see if I can find it. At the teardown point, none of this matters. Unless you just wanna align the dots with your old cam and sprocket in place, then remove the sprocket and timing chain and not turn the crank.
