I just noticed recently that my 2010 escalade ESV steering wheel shakes a bit above 60mph. It's a slight C/CW movement. I don't put a lot of miles on the truck so I don't know if this has always been present or just started.

Before I waste a day checking hubs or having the tires rebalanced can anyone tell me if their steering wheel is dead still at highway speed or acts the same?

Regardless of vehicle or how common, it shouldn't shake. Sounds like an out-of-round tire or a simple/minor imbalance. You can rotate them to see of the problem changes. First, look for a large rock stuck in the tread (not a likely culprit) or a blob of mud or even grease (dripped from a ball joint) stuck to the inside of the rim.

Definitely try rotating the front tires to the back. Another owner in the UK is dealing with this but it occurs at 70 vs 60 mph. He did have a ton of play in one of the front (AWD) hubs that made it a little better but it’s still there.

He’s going to do the front to back swap soon as it’s not his primary driver. If you have access to someone else’s Tahoe, Yukon or Escalade wheels or another spare, that’d rule out of you had a tire, rim or balance issue immediately.

Nope it’s not normal and should feel like butter.
