2500 so hydro boost brakes. Performed the hydro test with engine off. Pedal pushes back up when starting so assuming it’s ok. Don’t see the leak that’s common coming from the pressure storage thing.

I have owned a few 2500 6.0 trucks. This Yukon has a pretty hard pedal. I noticed my back pads are quite worn maybe 15% left. Could this be the problem?
I’ll have to have a look if I have even wear on the pads.

possibly, maybe with it being extended from the low pads it's not allowing much pedal movement I change mine well before 15% because I can feel the difference when they get to 30% or so because of the way I drive

What @Doubeleive said, replace the pads and do a good inspect while apart. Make sure the caliper hardware is replaced and all contact areas are completely cleaned and lubed with high temp grease.

low pad= hard pedal with hydroboost?
mine has had a hard pedal a lot more lately, almost like its not assisting at all. but the pedal is very high and hard. lots of pedal travel with it off though.
but other times it seems to work just fine and very well.
no idea when the last time i changed rear pads though so may give it a shot

I am just speculating, if the piston is protruding from the low pads? or is stuck, this may also cause a low fluid level also
