Well one other thing not working is the steering wheel controls but I think I just need to re flash the maestro or it might be that I plugged the wire in the wrong spot because I believe the steering wheel controls are through a headphone jack or aux jack and I have two or three of those in the back of the radio not sure but I will try a few things to try to get this to work but I know the rear camera works it just doesn't work correctly when I have the camera view on or off

You have three because most likely 1 for Aux In, 1 for Aux out, and 1 for SWC (remote).

Let me know what they say. I am trying to re-wire my camera harness so I can turn it on while driving forward as well.

What if you wire a switch to your reverse wire so you have two wires connected to the radio harness reverse wire. One from your reverse and one from the switch that way you hit the switch and it turns on, that way your reverse will work and you can manually turn it on. The pioneer radio is already made for the camera to be on all times if you want

That's what I am doing but after testing yesterday I found out that camera input when in reverse is ~2.5v and there are no wires anywhere near that provide CONSTANT 2.5v. This means I need to convert from 12v that I was able to find to 2.5v and thats where ML317 or DC to DC step down will take place. Now that is solved, if I do just that it means that the CONSTANT current that is always connected will also flow back to the back up lamp and whatever other modules it might be passing through. So I just now realized that I will have to add two diodes to BOTH the constant + and reverse + that way current from each does not interfere with the current from the other.

Wow nice!! Yeah that sounds like the only way to me is to add another power source to it
