Stock rear camera with aftermarket head unit

So got it to work? Huh, my camera harness doesn't even connect to axeess (in your case Maestro) module.

Well it works when I connect it to 12 volts but now it's figuring out if I should bypass the module and connect to stock wire or see if idatalink can fix this

Well I've tried to check voltage on my stock harness to see what one is the reverse wire but can't find it i also checked the maestro and I get no voltage coming from the reverse wire so until I can find a diagram to tell me what wire is which I'm stuck

Try this. This is essentially what I am doing to get the camera working while in Drive. 5v is little too much as when tested, it gives me 2.5v so I am waiting on 12v to 5v step down

I mean there are 4 wires, red, black, yellow, white. Red is 12v but for me not even being user, black is ground, yellow is video in (2.5v) and white is ground for video cable.

For me it is yellow. Test it out with multimeter. Initial reading (at least for me) is ~0.4v, when shift into R, voltage jumps to ~2.5-3v and stays on for about 5 seconds after shifting out of R which is exactly what my stock radio does; it shows rear image for about 5 sec. So jump from ~.5v to ~2.5v must be the reverse wire. I got everything ready, but can't test it until my 12v to 2.5v step down come in. All the way from China so it's going to take some time.

EDIT: yellow on aftermarket harness. I forgot which one is R on stock harness (its the second pin) but i don't recall the color. Will let you know next time when i take it apart

The rear camera is something 2v-5v. If you put 12v to it, you will burn it up FAST.

Agreed. Waiting in 12v to adjustable step-down. Will solder 10k ohm resistor in line get smooth voltage flow.

from what the pioneer tech said i need 12 volts but maybe that was to test it but that was also just to turn the pioneer radio into the camera mode with the reverse wire but not to power the camera, but anyways idatalink is sending me a new module to fix the reverse wire and there is not a stock reverse wire on the stock harness the module makes one for the radio instead of tapping into the reverse wire under the dash by the steering wheel. so with that being said i should have a new module maybe by the end of the week and on another good note i found out that idatalink will have an updated firmware for the avh-4000NEX that allows me to use the stock xm tuner on my radio they are just waiting on pioneer so in a couple months that will be done
