my suv body vibrates and i use polk mm1040 svc with a kenwood xr-5s. i would say it is good for a sealed chamber unit under seats. I don't do hip hop really nor have i tested it to its limits i am sure.

Do a false floor for the subs.

I considered this but then i would have to put a lot of work into making it fully waterproof so i doesnt get ruined....we just finished our vacation trip Thursday at Gulf Shores and we constantly put wet or dirty items in the back

Here's the project I'm working on...didn't want to compromise any space so I cut into my quarter panel trim.

I have never messed with fiberglass....how hard is it to do something like this

That does look nice! My sub is just a 10 sub. i built a MDF box and put it in the same exact spot as where your doing the fiberglass one. To someones post earlier about the bass output, the output of the bass will be determined by the size, shape, and whether or not the box is ported or not. Yes the size of the subs and the different specs will make diff bass, but the box will ultimately determine the bass output.
