Question. What was the process for adding the resistor? What size was it? What did you need to do to clear the air bag code after installing the resistor?
I ohmed out my seat at 3.6ohm. put in a 3.3 but the light stayed on

I believe I removed the negative cable from battery, and then you unplug the airbag and plug the resistor into its place, and connect the battery and the system works and nothing needs to be cleared. The resistor acts as the airbag. See image, I got one of these and they plug right in.

Great. Thank you. I pulled cloth seats with bags and replaced with older non bag seats. I'll pull the cable and pop these in,

You are welcome! You just need to plug one of them, the drivers seat has the extra side-airbag on the side between seat and console.

You didn't by chance ohm one of those out to see what value it is, did you?
Per amazon reviews/listings they should be around 2.2ohm, I did not measure mine, don't have measuring tool, but I still have one resister left as I bought a pack of two. I will ask my brother who is electrician if he has measuring tool and will try to measure it.

completed the conversion, some photos attached, also I have disconnected the drivers right side seat airbag and plugged a resistor into it so the airbag system works and now this bag will not deploy and possibly injure my child who will be sitting in the jump/center seat. (If you order 9 seat base model Yukon/Suburban from GM this airbag is not installed; and the back seat cover can be removed to access it without removing the seat)
@yukon-xl Thank you for sharing this build. Having the 9th seat option is the key reason I am going to buy a (used) Suburban or Yukon XL in the next month. You opened up my trim level options significantly by posting about your process, thank you! Looks like the biggest consideration is the dash trim panel angle, and then being ok with relocation of the subwoofer or just forgoing it. There are Premiers for sale all over but the power sliding console, swapping the second row captains for a bench, and not wanting to pay maintenance for Mag Ride are making me steer clear of that trim level at this point. Does anyone know if the power sliding console on the Premier would be any different for retrofitting the 9th seat in?

You are welcome! I am glad it helped you and anyone else who were in the same situation as me. I believe the sliding console should not be an issue, and it should have same bolt mountings as non-sliding. Good luck!
