I'll be swapping out my stock LS valance for a Z71/LTZ valance soon and I'm wondering if it's a good idea to change out the plastic fasteners/clips at the same time or can the original ones be reused? New ones don't cost that much, but I won't buy them if I don't need them. Also, about how many are there? Thanks!

idk if im too late for this but I just BM the lower valance on my truck and theres maybe 10 clips, I would get a few extra incase you break some. also I found using a flat head to push the pin down in the center of the clips works best so you don't break as many. good luck

Yea if you look at the clips and see the rectangle part in between the 2 tabs I found that if you use a flat head and push down on that you wont break them rather than using the flat head to pry them down

The project got stalled they sent the grey valance instead of a black one so it's shipping back. I'm going to hold out for the black part.

Rockauto took care of me and got me the correct black part. Really glad I bought replacement clips. The swap was actually a bit harder than I thought it would be. This was mostly due to some of the clips being in tough to reach spots. Reusing the old clips would not have been worth it, I needed to break almost all the old ones out. Everything came out great though and I'd like to share some pictures with my TYF brothers and sisters. Enjoy!
