Yep (LTZ). With no air in the shocks, it rides better than stock.

u SURE there is no air in the shocks? Or are you assuming that by the compressor kicking on that there was no air and now there is? Keep in mind, these need air to ride normal. When the compressor kicks on, it adds air to "lift" the rear and it will ride firmer since it thinks its weighted down, but it isn't.

I think to be sure there is no air in the shocks, unplug the air line from the compressor that goes to those shocks and watch what happens.

No, I'm not sure that there's NO air in the shocks. So, let me put it this way: I don't want the rear raised via the compressor. I want it to always ride as it does when I DON'T hear the compressor come on. When I hear the compressor, the ride is never as good afterward.

So, I don't want to bleed the shocks of whatever it take for them to operate normally. I also don't want the rear to air up BEYOND that.

Maybe I should shorten the links even more? Just looking for an option whereby the truck doesn't try to "level the rear" by way of airing it up -- especially since I rarely give it a reason to need to do so.

This post is more about how to achieve a constant non-aired-up conditions, and not to just kill the compressor, I guess.*

*EDIT: I've gotten this thread confused with my kill the compressor thread, but the concern remains the same regarding the ride...

if it rides worse after the compressor does its thing it sounds like it is airing the shock up close to or at the max pressure it is designed for. what tells the compressor to turn off? if u could shorten the links more and adjust the compressor timing, you might be able to leave the autoride active and achieve the right amount of air in the shocks for a good ride and height. that way if you do tow something it will not sag. mine kicks on every morning like it bleeds down overnight. so i am thinking find a medium between link length and compressor timing. i have autoride too, just got my wheels, so looking to do a 2/3 drop soon and keep my autoride. so i am interested in what u find out.

i think ur issue is readjusting the links. Our compressor never kicks on unless there is added weight in the back (i.e. towing, cargo).

I've said before that these springs ride better than stock, and it's the truth.

Does it take a little of the body roll out of the ride? I wouldn't mind if the ride stiffened up a bit. The 2/3 drop is imminent for my Denali - just curious as to how you think it's better than stock. Looks fantastic btw.

Yeah, it takes a lot of body roll out of it. This thing feels downright agile now. It's pretty crazy.
