Very cool mod! Will this work with auto dimming, heated mirrors? Maybe I missed it but how did you get the leds to shine through the mirror?

I just stuck LED arrows to backside of mirror, n they shine thru the glass alittle. I mostly wanted them to illuminate the inside of mirror for a different look. I wired them to my front running lights n turn signals, so they glow constantly at night, but also blink.

Not sure about heated mirrors, dont think it wuld be a problem tho. U culd wire into whatever u want

I found the led signal arrows at Autozone. Pilot part # MI-026. The heated mirror question is something to note. I looked into my mirror and it looks like they might fit. It is pouring rain right now so I didnt spend much time looking. I will get back to you on that. Otherwise I will be using the led strip lighting also from Autozone. Paid a tad more but I have it in hand.

So the LED arrows will NOT work. The heated mirrors are attached to a plastic backing. The plastic wont let the light shine through. Bummer deal. I am going to install the stripe lighting in the mirror housing, maybe tomorrow. Will post pics after it is done.
