shouldn't be a total loss, what did you get for the last one $150?Yeah, I don’t know what the heck happened. It was just an automatic movement to go to start instead of key on.

I start the cars all the time with them on, I forget that they reboot.Well, my second tech2 just bit the dust. I inadvertently started the truck while it was booting up and it flaked out. Wouldn’t connect to the candi and now has a blue screen unless I hold the cord tight to the back. I think I am done with these things. Too bad, I liked having the tool but can’t keep dropping $300 on one every year.
Something like that.shouldn't be a total loss, what did you get for the last one $150?
I have started mine with them plugged in too, no issues. Is that the internal power supply?I start the cars all the time with them on, I forget that they reboot.

I son’t think its a power issue. It seems to be a connection issue.I start the cars all the time with them on, I forget that they reboot.

I have too. This time I hit the power button on the tool and realized I wasn’t key on so I went to tuen the key on and inadvertently started the truck when to tool was initializing. After that it wouldn’t connect to the candi. A few attempts later and all I get is the blue screen.I have started mine with them plugged in too, no issues. Is that the internal power supply?
the mdi software is hard to make work but it can be done, I think part of the issue's with me may have been from installing it on a tablet and the software will not install correctly in tablet mode it wants to be in desktop mode. then it can be tricky getting it to work beyond that I don't know but I struggled with getting it to work.looking ahead I see the need for an MDI since Heidi wants a newer Acadia. I had a VCX Nano working at one point and could go with that or get an MDI. I am struggling to find good info on what to do to make the MDI work. Software download?
Where did you get the MDI software? Do you know of any good writeup on that process? Maybe we need an MDI thread?the mdi software is hard to make work but it can be done, I think part of the issue's with me may have been from installing it on a tablet and the software will not install correctly in tablet mode it wants to be in desktop mode. then it can be tricky getting it to work beyond that I don't know but I struggled with getting it to work.
well the vcx nano's should come with both tech2win and mdi software but they are separate installs. the mdi from chinacardiags works I don't remember what I paid for mine maybe $100-150, could have been just under $100. it's been a while since I bought it.Where did you get the MDI software?
