Temp Gauge on 2016 suburban...

pickup a new 2016 suburban last week and i noticed that going up hill or getting on the freeway on an incline the temp gauge seems to go up a hair than its usual spot.
Normally it sits right at 210 in the middle.
Has this happened to anyonelse here as a problem to fix or is it something normal??
Being in livery biz i hate to drive around with fluctuating gauges especially the temp gauge which is a sign of overheat.

as long as it doesn't go excessively high I wouldn't worry, if the trucks overheating it will let you know.

thank you, i kinda think the same but i hate to see fluctuating temp gauge.
will keep an eye on it next time i drive

Have you checked the coolant level in the radiator itself (when cold of course) and not just the overflow bottle? I had a Honda low on coolant and it would get very hot when driving slow, but once at highway speed there was enough cool air blowing through to make the temp get back to normal.

i just checked the fluids and they all look perfect.its brand new car so i am not sure why the gauge would fluctuate llike that.not by much but i didnt have this problem in any other car i had before.

That gauge isn't accurate in the first place.
Thats right, the gauges will only start going up when there is actual overheating going.
Have a town car and it will only be sitting in the middle at all times till the car starts overheating.so between the temperatures of 190-229 the temp gauge in town car would be sitting in the middle without movement. Anything over 220 car is starting to overheat.
In this suburban temp gauge say 210 and my readings are around 212-216 range. Then when i start an incline the temp reaches 220 and gauge starts creeping up , it goes back right away but i am concerned.

I'm with you, our 08 Tahoe's gauge does not move unless we are towing our trailer in the heat of the summer. Take it in and have them do a pressure test on it. Good luck

i have a friend who also bought a 2016 suburban but an ltz couple days after me, tonight we'll take his car and try to replicate the same thing to see if it is common for these models.i had him do a reading on his and his was also reading around 210-220 but he didnt have a chance to go uphill to try the gauge fluctiation.
these cars so as my old 08 escalade come with two cooling fans. while the ac is on one will always be on and the second one kicks in when there is heat building up. so i guess hittin 220 kicks in the secondary cooling fan.but gauge does go up tiny bit. i do not like to drive around with overheating problem breathing down my neck :(

edit: found this repair article on 2015 tahoe and suburban and #9 state that normal operating temperature for the car is 194, so i am curious why mine is running at around 210ish levels.
i know every car is different but the town car also operates around 194 with ac on and secondary fan kicks in at 210. weird weir weird
