Finally found a FB post from a guy with a 3500 that went with the 275/65R18 size tires on OEM wheels. I'd seen this guy's posts earlier, but for whatever reason this particular one was never in the results or I'd have answered my own question sooner. Anyway, looks like it's a workable option.

Went to my appointment at Discount Tire this morning. Waited an hour for them to clear the backlog ahead of me (all walk-ins, so why bother with an appointment?), then they told me that they didn't actually have the tires there yet and they wouldn't until tomorrow.

The guy I worked with when I got there was super apologetic for not double-checking when I first arrived, so I couldn't get angry with him - we all make mistakes. And to make it right, they refunded me the cost ($248) for the new TPMS sensors they'll be installing when I go back on Wednesday.

So, while I'm bummed to have my time wasted and not have any wheels to show for it, they did their best to make it right so it's all good and I'll remain a DT customer.

Steph and I were on vacation in Texas. Woke up with a flat. Swapped the spare on, drove to DT in Kyle Texas, 3 min from the hotel. They patched it and the manager wouldn't accept any payment. Told me to have a safe rest of the trip and dont worry about it. I did not buy the tires from them since there isn't one local to me, so it was just a dude being nice.

That’s awesome! Can’t wait to see the truck pics! This guy on FB has a slick looking truck too. Y’all are making me feel left out.

Yep, that’s been my experience too. They’ve always done right by me in a pinch. Glad they were good to you, too.

Had a meeting cancel this afternoon so I called DT to see if they had the tires and could fit me in. Sure enough they got me in and did a great job. Very happy with the ride and steering feel of these. They’re also very quiet on the highway and the clearance on the wheel wells seems fine.
