Hey fellas, Hope you guys have had a great and safe holiday season!!

2014 has, so far, been incredible for me and I have been busy busy busy. However, I did buy a pair of the Belltech SP shocks and they will be here hopefully within the week. I have a feeling the rear end will become lower than the front. Luckily, I still have the drop keys to resort to when and if that happens.

To answer you guy's concerns, McGaughys did include an offset end link (passenger side) for the sway bar and a straight end link for the drivers side, IIRC. They are about 2" longer than the stock end links. That has made the backend kind of squirrelly under hard braking. I think that has something to do with the stock shocks, too, though.

After thinking about it, I will remove the coil pads just to help with the stance.

In other news, I may be replacing my 5.3 with a cammed 6.0 with an 80e transmission out of a 2500.

My 5.3 just rolled over 160k miles and now has:

Piston slap in all cylinders
Leaking valve covers
Injector issues
Piston rings are shot
Loosing but not burning coolant

Finally, some drop shocks in the rear!! I'm now sitting exactly 35" on all corners from the floor to the bottom of the fender. Now that the suspension is done, now it's time to save up for the 6.0.

Sorry about the dirty Yuk pictures. It has been one wild Winter this year for Alabama. When it isn't raining it's incredibly cold and snowing.

I appreciate it, sir! Congrats on TOTM!

I'm just running McGaughys drop spindles. The alignment shop was able to bring the tires in without messing with the torsion keys.

I do wish I was a little lower, but I would have to start cutting and reshaping. I'm not ready for that yet.

That's the good thing about Mcgaughy's spindles super easy to get back in alignment
You plan on blacking the truck out or leaving some chrome on there?

You're welcome! It's quite an achievement for sure.

You are correct! The alignment guy said that he has had tougher alignment jobs out of stock Tahoes and trucks. I was very lucky; especially for the Yukon being 10 years old and always having the same size tires on it.

I'm not too sure. My good friend AutBond has an all black 08 Tahoe and I absolutely love it but I may try and keep some of the chrome to break up the black. I will get rid of the amber colored lenses on the tail lights and headlights though.

Also keep those splashes of red on the Yukon. Like new all red tail lights and keep the GMC logos the same.

I really appreciate it man! Thank you for checking up on it:waytogo:
