Thinking of parting out the hoe :/

i cant stand the truck any more, hasn't given me any problems, besides rust.. its verrry verry irritating and annoying. i get pissed off every time im under my truck because of the rust, every bolt i try to take off under there snaps off. I figured id rather part out then sell the whole truck because i know damn well ill follow that guy around once i see my truck in the city.. i couldnt take that... but someone either has to talk me out of it, or in the next couple weeks, everything! will be put up for sale on it..

Here. I'll try to talk you out of it : Don't do it !!! Bolts get old and rusty. That's to be expected of a 15 year old car. If you part out your Hoe, you might be enjoy the money at first, but not too long down the road your going to miss it, then your going to think about all the hard work you put into it, and finally you're going to be like "****... I wish I never parted it out" I used to have a car a that I wish never sold, but I didn't really have a choice. To this day I still daydream about the good times I had driving it. If you have a choice to not part it out then my two cents is... Keep it.

Did that convince not to part out your Hoe? I hope so.

thanks Grimm, its not even like money is what i need right now.. its all paid off like all the rest of my cars, but its just that you paint a truck 2 yrs ago and the ******* thing starts to rust already> what kind of shit is that? my rollpan on the bottom lip is getting there, inside the fender lips and quarter panels.. like what the hell? i think i should just stop before i put too much money into it before i cant get anything out of it.. i have about 8 into right now. none of that includes my time and labor.

well how about this. In my area, dont know about yours. Most places wont take cars that have been parted out. All the potential money is gone and theres not much they can do with the body, stipped interior. You maybe frustrated, but it be worse after parted out, and its still sitting there still having to look at it everyday not able to use. Who know you may miss it so much that you may start looking replacing the stuff you sold. Im just sayin yenno? You know heat is your best friend when working with rusted/frozen bolts. invest in a small portable torch/brazing kit from home depot. Replacement oxygen and map canisters are fairly inexpensive

hey sumo, thanks man, but once i just have bare bones truck to its shell, it would go to the scrap yard and get crushed for about 400bucks...

im with you on this one. i really get upset when things go wrong with my truck. it just gets annoying after a while knowing you have to live with some shit not working in your hoe. i always think "it's fine, i'll have a new car one day". thats what keeps me going

dont do it.....i am having the same frustration right now im trying to raise mine up 2" in front and 3" in rear and they sent not enough parts or wrong parts cause my rear is in the ******* air like a 4x4 and cant drive now so have to wait till mon morning to go to the shop and ***** them out for telling me all the parts i need is what they sold me they were wrong......
