To disable AFM or not, that is the qustion

I bought a 2007 Tahoe with 191K miles at a auction. Company car and it has been sitting for awhile. I had to rebuild transmission and other than that no other info was available to me. So what im wondering is should i disable the AFM or leave it alone? 191k miles and no issues that I know of. Runs great and sounds great.

Yes. The answer is always yes. The afm system doesn't do crap anyway

Well I just ordered the Range so I guess it's gonna be turned off. Wanted a tuner but times are tough. Lol

Ive heard someone unhooking a wire on brake booster as a temporary fix but it will give me an engine light which i dont guess is no big deal?

Just select L on the transmission lever and toggle up to 5 (or 7 with the 8 speed). As long as you stay out of the highest gear, AFM will be off and no lights show up. With speed toggled to 5 or 7 transmissions shifts just fine.

Do you still have this for sale? If so, how much. I just purchased a 2010 Tahoe LT and I hate the AFM. Thought about getting a tune and probably will a little later.
