UPDATE:
Well........after looking and searching at what's out there--mileage, condition and price, I think I found reputable/trustworthy one. It's from an 02 2500 Suburban with under 70,000 miles. Complete. Guy wants $1000 for it. I'm gonna do it. Then gotta get all the usual replacement parts--gaskets, knock sensors, etc etc. Plus the labor to do it all. I still gotta find out if it's a midyear since 02 was the change over year from dbc to dbw. I'm pretty sure I'll need to swap my intake over, and I'm hoping my cam is still good. I already know this'll be a long term project--so I'm really hoping to have the Hoe back by next summer. The TYF community has been really awesome to me--helping me out with donations. I HUGELY and IMMENSELY appreciate all of the goodwill you guys have shown me in my time of great need. If it's ok--I'm gonna post the gofundme link one more time--for other members who might've missed it. Thx again to this great community of fellow enthusiasts :).

Thx to all who have contributed to the cause already:waytogo:!
Awesome. I’m not sure, but can’t you swap the DBW components from yours even if the new engine is DBC? Anyway, great news Tony.

I think that would work. I don't remember if there's a fuel return line, or how the 02 is setup for fuel return, but swapping the complete intake setup won't be a problem. Afaik--dbc to dbw is just swapping the tbs over. On this gen anyway. While it's out I'd wanna do the water pump, rear main seal, intake gaskets, oil pump--wanna have him swap the heads over, those lifters and trays I got, the longer pushrods and my old cam, a few sensors, especially the oil pressure, some gaskets--maybe--knock sensors and maybe the knock sensor harness too. I think that's it.
