We always have high prices for gas here in the PNW. The only places to get 91 here are the discount stations, the big chains are more like $3.15. They say our blend is different for some reason, tree hugger shit I guess.
All BS. I bet it all comes from the same refineries--same blends.

No, actually I’ve researched it. I don’t remember what exactly it is but ours is similar to what Cali uses just a bit different. Plus taxes are different in the county I live in so that sucks too.

Since we're all reminiscing - Back in the mid 70's I had this Honda 50. I think back then a gallon of gas was 55 cents and so was a pack of cigarettes. We're lucky that gas isn't that expensive today.

Growing up we owned a candy store--sold soda, candy cigarettes etc. I remember a pack of cigarettes being 40 cents and 100's were 45 cents. I'm not sure about other parts of the country but around here a pack of cigarettes are $7---$10--for a pack!

I’m just thankful I don’t smoke. Cannot imagine trying to keep up with a pack or two a day habit at $7-$10 per  that’s spendy!!

Yeah I quit over 7 years ago after smoking for almost 40 years. They were over $4.50 a pack. I remember threatening to quit if they ever got over $1. Oregon just passed a new $1.50 (iirc) a pack tax and I notice I don’t even see prices advertised outside the stores like they used to. I’m not sure what they cost.
