I responded in that thread already. My only comparison is the 5.3 which revs harder and sounds better (not to say the dmax doesn't sound good), but the Dmax definitely has more torque. It doesn't need a heavy foot to get it moving which I like. I come from smaller cars with smaller engines which needed much more wringing out to gain speed. The effortless torque of the dmax is very nice for around town and city driving.
