Tool brand of choice?

Tools I like this subject. I may not have snap ons but im happy with what I have. I use mainly Mastercraft tools as they have lifetime warrantees on them. (Canadiantire). I also use sears craftsman tools. AIr I use Genius as I can get them cheap and man they work flawless. Work gave us a 7 drawer roll box. I managed to get another for 20 bucks and added 2 middle sections with some minor mods to it to make a rolling work station. Here are a few pics Please dont laugh to hard lol















I like my tools orginazed. I need to know where my tools are all the time to get the units at work back up and running ASAP. So orginization is very important. Also I beleive in the right tool for the job. I have modified many tools to fit the job at hand. Oh and the 2 boxes under my bench are filled with some of the mechanisms I rebuild the 2 boxes are also mine. I have 3 boxes at home also and 2 big roll cabinets full of electric tools. No pictures of them though.
This isnt a work thread so I wont put pictures of what I do here I will save that for another thread.

Craftsman and Snap-on here. I used to be a mechanic so I have a bunch of Snap-on but now that I spin wrenches for fun, I mainly buy Craftsman.

Their decent and the Snap-on guy doesn't visit my house...

I work for a small company called General Electric. AKA G.E. Lighting. We make G25 lightbulbs, par lights, and flourescent lamps. I'm a shift leader / machine mechanic. I'm the goto guy and get to rebuild mechanisms for the units. Been doing it for 21 years now. With all the layoffs i'm low man on the pole now too oh and yes I just bought my burb. Couldn't turn it down for the price.

I have a deep socket set from Snap On from my Dad and it's as old as I am I'm sure.....

Mostly Craftsman for me, have a few snap on, cornwell, mac, matco, and a few proto. Just a shade tree mechanic but I have well over $15,000 in tools. I can't justify the price of snap on when you compare the quality to craftsman, the only leg up snap on has is their ratchets. But if you spend the money and get the pro series craftsman they are pretty close.

To me, nothing comes close to the quality of a Snap On ratchet, I agree getting Craftsman sockets is good enough for most users.

For hand tools, I think Craftsman and Snap-on are great tools. Snap-on is a bit pricey though. I usually buy Snap-on when it's a tool that is going to be used extensively, for heavy-duty use, or a specialty tool. I'll go with Craftsman for most everything else.

I'm jealous... I have a little bit of everything, nothing fancy or pricy but I have everything I need to get what I need done. I had a Matco rollaway tool box fully stocked worth 15k at one point but someone decided they needed it more than me and swiped it..
