I saw a thread for Top 5 exterior mods, so I thought I'd start one for Top 5 performance mods since I'm mechanically challenged. So Top 5 in your opinion.

- cold air intake!
- BlackBear tune is a must if you want to wake your truck up!
- maybe a flow master muffler but that wont give you any gains besides the loudness. our stock 2.5" pipes are more than enough.
- i personally use bosch fusion IRs spark plugs which are expensive but worth it.
i cant think of anything else unless you want to spend money on a cam or supercharger lol

would a BB tune be beneficial to a stock 5.3L with an aftermarket intake? i'm actually going to be installing those same spark plugs this weekend... i'm looking to get an exhaust also, real soon..

Yes, get the intake and exhaust BEFORE the Tune so they can set the BB tune to your Mods. It is the single "performance" Mod that most people like here.:Handshake:

Besides that:

1)Cold Air Intake
2)Exhaust (Corsa Cat-back if you can afford it)
3)Corvette Servo
4)Gear upgrade (If your running rims)
5)BB tune to complement all Mods.

**Note**
Of course I'm overlooking new "built-up" Transmission 6.0 Engine Swap and Supercharger which cost $$$, but gets results

Check out "JKmotorsports" As he has done these mods and his Hoe is AMAZING!!

thanks for the info Anthony... I would love to add the Corsa exhaust but my pockets aren't that deep. lol I might just get some flows or something, not sure. I might look into the vette servo and gear upgrade.. I'm looking to lift my tahoe and add some 33s.

+1 I have four kids so my pockets are not deep either. I added a flowmaster and I cant tell any performance gains but my truck sounds mean.
