I'd recommend the bb tune with autocal. I town 7k lbs with mine all the time and its a night and day difference especially on shifting pulling hills.

Does the BB Tune really help that much with towing ?? I have used "other" tuners before with little effect. We tow a 5,500k all aluminum toy hauler which does good in the plaines of IL & IN. Get down to KY & TN by the smokey mountains and it will hardly get out if its own way, hate how it down shifts 2 gears to maintain speed while screaming @ 4k rpm. Wouldn't mind having a "economical" tune for daily driving, maybe a tune that holds 4cyl mode longer ?? Not expecting a Diesel or Supercharged ride, just a more manageable tow.

The double downshift is a pain, happens with cruise control often. Yes it helps as there is a little more torque and hp, but it's still the same transmission.

I upgraded my pads to Centric Fleet semi-mettalic before towing our 6000 lb trailer 2900 miles through the Rockies this summer. The brakes felt great and we had no fade whatsoever.

^ those were my choice had I not gone with Carquest. With good rotors they are certainly heavy duty.

Just some of the hitch and you hooked up. We have a ton of guys coming in with heavy iron lifted and they are all scared of the towing with weight and sway. No rush but when you get a chance.

Here is me on the 4th 7,000 lb 33' travel trailer in tow. I knew she was back there but pulled it like a dream.

Nope all just lifted coils and spacers. Didn't squat her to bad. I have big boy Monomax shocks. It pulled heavy but it was a toy hauler with no toys in it so heavy tongue weight. Plus it is not very talk so couldn't even tell she tipped out at about 7900#.

Dropping parts off (again). 5,000# haul mark.
