No, same platform, just different wheelbase and overhangs.

Probably the best thing about the newer Acadia, it’s weight loss. That combined with the increase in power makes for a much more spirited crossover. The old one (we had an 08), felt like the e-brake was on when you’d take off from a complete stop and it sounded constipated. It was definitely a porker.

OP, does yours have the adaptive suspension option? How do you feel the ride and road noise compares to your Yukon Denali?

So does this mean the Acadia/ Traverese are not built on the same platform anymore?

I believe for at least one year (maybe longer) they were not. The first year the Acadia shrunk, the Traverse was still larger (like the previous generation Acadia).

Nice Choice, I rented a 2017 Acadia to go from Toronto to Winnipeg for a couple of weeks. Everything was nice about it, lots of room, great engine 3.6 and handling. It did have one issue though that surprised me, when you open the rear windows it would create a terrible buffeting and howling. It sounded like a Huey taking off. You could actually see the sides of the vehicle moving in and out.

I love my 17 esky, (no vibrations or noises so far) but if I didn’t have it, I would be looking mighty hard at the new navigator. The interior is just beautiful, but the front of the car is ugly

I too love my 17 Escalade and if I didnt find this deal I would be in the Navigator as well! Unfortunately the price on them substantially increased over the previous generation and the leasing programs suck!

I recently had to bring my truck in for service and they gave me a 2018 XT5 with 8 miles on it. Sorry but its a total POS! Flimsy interior/dash and no power compared to the 6.2. Why didnt you upgrade to a 18 Yukon Denali rather than go 5 steps back to the Acadia?

rather have wind buffering with the rear windows down in an Acadia than wind buffering with the windows up in Tahoe's, Yukon and Escys, at least in the acaida you can fix it by rolling the windows up;)

My daughter's Impala also buffets terribly with the rear windows down. Poor design. Cars used to be designed to drive 'round with the windows down.

Most are. Just not Chevys.

My GM coupes and Cadillac Brougham did not buffet, neither does my Yukon or GM minivans. As youngsters we drove around with the windows down almost all the time until we started wearing shirts and ties. I'm too old and it's too hot out most of the year but on a cool evening before sundown it's nice to take a country drive with them all open and the astro roof.
