Hey guys- I just got a 2003 Tahoe Z71. I am doing basic maintenance on it, plugs, wires, oil, tranny filter, transfer case etc. When it comes to the tranny filter, how do I know which one I need? I pulled the build report on it and for the tranny it says "M30 TRANSMISSION,AUTOMATIC 4 SPEED,4L60E,ELECTRONIC 4-SPD A/TRANS(M30)" On Delcos parts site it says
TF289 - Shallow Pan; Bolt Holes: 16,Trans Code: 4L60-E,RWD, 1 Per Veh
Per Vehicle: 1; Years: 2002-2003...OR
TF337 - 4-Speed Auto Trans (M30); 16 holes, deep pan
Per Vehicle: 1; Years: 2002-2003
I think I need the TF337, just not sure. also how do I know if I have a shallow or deep pan?
I am also replacing the spare tire hoist as mine (like everyone elses) is rusted and worthless. I cant seem to find a "how-to" on this. Does anyone know how to do this? im assuming there should only be a few bolts to remove the old hoist and put the new one in its place. The new one I got doesnt have the safety latch...thank the lord!
