do we have to do , trans thermostat mode ? I see silverado folks talking about it .:cool:

The factory setup ensures that many of those 6L80 transmissions are dead by about 100K miles. It brings the transmission temperature up to the same as the coolant.

People either "flip the pill" or use the lower temp units which greatly extends the life of the transmission. Removing the thermostat inside the housing disrupts flow and kills them too. Flip it, replace it, or get a different block.

my 2019 , looks different then the ones on youtube videos :confused:
there is a couple different configurations of how they are mounted, regardless this kit will work

Great, yet another thermal wax valve to go wrong in an automotive setting! :mad: The Mazda crowd have been 'enjoying' those for decades. Luckily, the usual failure mode is open, so when it fails, you're essentially in valve open mode all the time.

This is good info, though. We recently placed an order on a new Sierra LT4, so I'll have something to look forward to when it arrives.
