I ordered the brackets from the guy on the forum. Paid 75. They are out for delivery. I also didn’t join the forum. First post shows the email to send it to. Very painless so far.

My issue now is finding the cooler.

The full kit is supposed to come with the quick connect fittings. That is 75. The bracket kit is 65.

I used Glenns bracket on my Denali and the other one of that forum you referenced for my Tahoe, Glenns hands down is the better buy. The guy from the forum took forever with no communication and I thought it was supposed to come with the fittings maybe I was wrong on that part I don't remember well enough. What I do remember was wondering if I just gave my money away.
Glenns bracket comes with quality hardware and easy to install instructions. I used the compression fittings on both installs keeping the factory lines with the factory quick disconnects.
Expect to be about 30 degrees cooler running temps.

Glenn’s bracket was out of stock until July 31. And I like the idea of a single bracket on top instead on the 2 small brackets. I ordered the other one but just the brackets. Once all that comes in I’m going to get Glenn’s SS braided lines and bypass the radiator

Yeah I had to wait about a month I think on back order, still well worth it. Can't agree on bypassing the radiator, if it's such a hot idea why didn't they do that from the factory? To each his own though.

They want to preheat the trans fluid with the engine like they do in the new trucks by adding a trans thermostat (consensus is that these contribute to early failures so people bypass them now). The line that goes through the radiator warms the trans up fast and helps in extreme cold climates to keep it at engine temp. Heating the fluid quicker supposedly helps with fuel mileage, I believe that’s why they do it. My trans builder, Performabuilt, recommends bypassing the radiator and going straight to a cooler, it results in slightly lower operating temps.

I just installed about a month ago a Trucool 40k on my 2002 Chevy Tahoe Z71, 5.3L (260,000 miles, first owner). I also had previously installed an instrument cluster from a 2001 Yukon Denali which has a transmission temperature guage. The result of the new transmission oil cooler has been a 40 degrees drop in temperature. Lately it as been around 100 F in the Houston area. My transmission temperature never goes above 150 degrees.

I thought optimal tranny temps on our rigs were 160-200°F? If the fluid isn't hitting those temps, then it may be a bit too thick and cause the tranny to work harder?

That's funny my trans builder recommends not bypassing (not as in never). cahallperformancetrans.com

That’s funny my warranty is void if I don’t. I have read all the discussions about this and I agree with Performabuilt however it probably doesn’t matter much. If you have had one of our radiators apart though, you’ll see running it through the radiator will heat it to engine temp due to the design. The actual “internal cooler” is just a tiny core that’s bathed in engine coolant. If your engine is 180* then that’s what it’s trying to heat the trans fluid to and then it goes to your Tru Cool where it’s trying to cool it down. To me it makes no sense to heat it then cool it at the same time. If you live in a cold climate where it’s freezing in the winter a lot you can use TruCools thermal bypass so nothing flows until a certain temp.
