Tryin to put a 2nd in driveway, can you GM guys check service on VIN?

Hi. Going to drive a 2008 tomorrow. I'd like to check the available service records before I make an offer. I'm told the original owner had it for 5 years and worked for the dealer. Can any of you GM dealer guys look up this VIN 1GNFC13048R104055 and tell me what I'm getting in too? Much appreciated.

The service would usually cost money so kinda doubt anybody could find out. Might be easier to get a report. Some charge as low as $30 or you can get unlimited for like a month and check multiple vin #s

Thanks gzes. I've seen other posts where the service guys looked up the info on their GM databases or whatever. Also, maybe someone's got available access to Carfax where I wouldn't have to pay. Getting a little nervous about what I've been reading here about the cylinder deactivation and oil consumption. Got a 2006 5.3L with no issues.

Are you purchasing this vehicle from a GM dealer? The service records should be free, and if the dealer (or individual) you are purchasing it from wont give you a carfax/auto check, don't just walk away... Run!

This vehicle is being sold by an individual who has owned it for a year and purchased it from a GM dealership employee. I didn't get to drive it today because, you're not going to believe my luck, this AM my mechanic tells me that my 1999 Jeep G'Cherokee needs a reman'ed motor. Going to try for Saturday to look at the Tahoe. Thanks

I don't have any, but considering the fact that the service report is very uneventful, if I were you it'd be worth dropping the few bucks to get the Carfax.
