i didnt pull my tb off to clean it, although you could clean it more thoroughly if you do. but if you do pull it, make sure to have a new gasket on hand

i just used a can of tb cleaner, and old tooth brush and a shop rag. simply spray, brush(while holding throttle blade open), spray again, then wipe with rag. done

anyone have any hints on pulling the wires off the plugs.... I tried 3 different plugs and I can't get the wires off... it's so frustrating, and my hands are killing me from trying to squeeze and wiggle them off....

thanks.

You are replacing them, right?

Take them loose from the coil pack and them try and twist it off the plug. After it turns some just pull it by the wire.

quick question before I do tune-up tomorrow... I can just take off all wires and plugs at same time, I don't need to do 1 at a time...right?

You can do them without channel locks.

Do like I said and twist them before you pull them. You will most likely destroy the metal heat shields by using the channel locks. You may destroy the wires but I refuse to change plugs on customers trucks if they dont want to replace the wires even though I can usaually get them off without breaking them by twisting before pulling them.
