Hello all. For the past few months I've had a high pitched squeaking noise that I think is in the front end. I have many ideas what it could be. At first I thought it was the brakes so I changed all the brake pads but didn't help. I have 3 new U-joints so it probably can't be that. Although the only old U-joint is the one at the very front. Anyway I'm thinking it's most likely something in the suspension. I don't see any bushings that look bad or really anything else out of the ordinary. The noise changes pitch when I go over bumps so that's why I think it's in the suspension. I replaced the front shocks and the noise hasn't been as bad lately. But then it's usually a constant squeak. So I'm out of ideas now. What could it be? Please somebody help before I start to hear it in my sleep!!

HA! Never again... Haha
Anyway, I figured that was what it is but the bushings look pretty good. I don't think there's any cracks or anything. And I don't see metal on metal contact

UPDATE: finally figured it out. The rear slip yoke has a rubber seal thing around it and it had a lot of dirt built up in it so I cleaned it out and sprayed it with WD-40 and I haven't heard it for a week now. This explains why the noise changed pitch when I went over a bump. It's weird how quiet the ride is now haha
