used tranny. any up grades to do to make it last longer??????

A buddy of mine is putting in a used tranny in. It has 190.000km 118.000miles.
I know the trannys are weak and just want to prolong the life of it. He cant afford a reman. which is the answer.
So my question Is what are some small upgrades we can do. I am thinking corvette servo and #1 accumulator(since its plastic).beyond that I am not sure of any other small things. that are easy and cheep.

This it the truck for the used tranny. A $800 truck that is in great shape 300km and no rust. which for my area is hard to find. and someone painted it pearl white.
