Have a kind of grinding or swooshing noise that is most noticible in the cab. Behind the steering wheel area. Almost like it is the brake booster although I have pretty much ruled that out. But that area. I can't hear it from under the truck or in the engine bay. Possibly because the sound of the motor drowning it out idk. But it comes and goes... Almost always starts when I park on an angle like nex to the side walk. It doesn't change with rpm's but it does when the truck moves. You can rock the truck in park by moving in the seat and the noise changes when the truck jumps around. Also when you shut the truck off the noise persists for about 2 or 3 seconds then stops. I will be going to buy a stethoscope after work to try again to locate it but wondering if anyone has had this symptom before. What runs or cycles for a few seconds after the motor is turned off???

Sorry I don't know what you mean by doors flattened out. And the ac was not on I tried everything on the dash to try to get it to change with no results. And yes the booster has been leaking or at least the seal between the booster and MC. I thought that was it but I actually for the first time this morning called the dealership out of curiosity what they would say. They said no way can it be the booster. It wouldn't make any noise after the engine is turned off. Even for a second. But if its a possibility cool because I need to replace it anyways as soon as I get time. Kind of hard finding time working 12 hour days 6 days a week lol.

sorry door seals as in leaking noise thru. not for a second huh? even if the vacuum supply is held in by the check valve on the line it still could not leak out of the booster seals? it may not be the noise problem you have but it sure sounds like your dealer will be. twits.

First time I have ever used a dealer for anything and I definitely wasn't impressed lol. He actually didnt suggest anything just said it couldn't be the booster. Anyways I believer the check valve and grommet are only a few bucks maybe il grab one and see if it makes a difference with the noise. Going to replace the booster regardless but curious to see. Thanks for the help again man
