So how big of a cam are you going with?
And I wouldn't do stock injection. Grab an aftermarket super victor efi manifold or something

It’s staying stock internals for right now until money allows more. It will be the stock RV cam, so more low end torque, and slightly better MPG (not that it matters haha). Hopefully in the next year I can stroke it to a 496. Good idea on the efi manifold! I know you can upgrade the injectors using mustang 5.0 injectors, but I’ll look into that super victor too

Def don't want that hoist to tip! Almost happened to me once.

That would be disastrous lol. I bet your heart skipped a beat on that one. Gonna be heavy that’s for sure! Probably going to leave it 2WD for now, then convert it back to 4WD in a few months. Should be ready to run by next weekend!

I wonder if you can punch it out and use the GM 8.1/496 rotating assembly in that block otherwise I prob wouldnt bother spending big money on stroker kit.
Just reuse the crank and rods...grab a nice set of higher compression pistons. Put some good springs on the heads and nice specd cam.

My fbody/ls friends have a guy that builds most of their engines but he loves big blocks might have some good info when you're ready

That would be awesome! I'm sure there's alot of us on here who are excited for you. I can't wait to see it done and running.
