I wonder if you can punch it out and use the GM 8.1/496 rotating assembly in that block otherwise I prob wouldnt bother spending big money on stroker kit.
Just reuse the crank and rods...grab a nice set of higher compression pistons. Put some good springs on the heads and nice specd cam.
My fbody/ls friends have a guy that builds most of their engines but he loves big blocks might have some good info when you're ready
8.1 is a tall deck. Has the same bore as the rat block 454 but a longer stroke to get the cubes. Different firing order too but that can be changed with the camshaft.
