Want to take my 2010 Yukon XL Denali with 180,000 miles for a family trip from Michigan To Florida - Can you help me make this a success!

There is RPO BS1 acoustic package that the Denali and Escalade have, but the LTZ does not have. Taking the Escalade out of the equation (different dash and door panels, and 2011 and up have laminated front door glass), the only difference I see between a Denali and LTZ are the door panels. The Denali has vinyl in the upper door insert, and vinyl on the door handles that also surround the window switches. Other than that, I don't see what else this 'BS1' code is.

Thanks for that info! I recall once when I had my door panel off that there were a few pieces of sound dampener "tiled" around on the backside of the door skin. I should've taken a pic. I also noted a piece of dense foam behind the sail panel to insulate where the mirror is secured.

I was not expecting to have this much "latte" in my oil catch can after only 250 miles. Is that possible? The picture is a little misleading - it covers the entire bottom and is up the sides about 1/8”.

When I looked after about 100 miles it was just straight oil (wish I had taken a picture).

Your environment (temperatures and humidity) will affect how much moisture you have in your PCV system. It seems that this is a lot more common in colder areas. Maybe even more midwestern. Never get it here.

This is why cars subjected to lots of short trips can have bearing failures despite the low mileage. They're not driven enough to get the oil hot enough for long enough to steam out the moisture. Was the weather warmer when you checked it at 100 miles?

I'd like to know the same about my LTZ versus Escalade and the LT and LS models. That's some obscure info that only James @swathdiver might know.
Somewhere on this forum is the discussion on this previously, the LTZs and Denalis and Escalades have an RPO code for the sound deadening material used to give them a quieter ride and better stereo performance.

It was mid 40 to low 50 degrees in the area after the first 100 miles - nearly all highway miles (all oil and a drop of water).

The next 150 was nearly all highway miles with temps mid 40s to just cracking 50 a day later (more moisture).

These are unseasonably warm temps for this time of year.

Im also in Michigan and emptied mine out today too lol same thing. It was half full that’s just the residue..

I recall that part of the package is thicker “acoustic” window glass.

there is rpo code BS1 in my 07 Denali glovebox = Insulation, Acoustical
and
I have 2 different brand/style catch cans on 2 different vehicles and get 1 to 2 oz of dark oily fluid from each per 5000 miles.

Working on my cabin air filter now...but when looking up at the evaporator - what's the best way to clean this up? I saw there are sprays. I was thinking about using a brush. What are your thoughts?
