My next idea is taking out the radio on my break and letting it dry for a day or so. Then getting as much, if any water out the radio compartment.

If you remove the radio, set in front of a fan. You can also get battery powered fans to point in the radio hole in the dash and anywhere else you can think of.

That’s my plan to take the radio out, rode my bike to work today lol. Got the windows down. No rain today on the forecast. Supposed to be sunny. That should help. Than on my break I will run an extension cord and fan to it through my window.

Probably just gonna leave it for a few days, I thought everything was fine. Guess not.
usually rain water doesn't do much if any damage just gotta let it dry out, it's not the same as spilling a soda in it.
if you have to drive it leave the defroster on if you can, one of it's functions is it also works as a dehumidifier

I don’t think anything is damaged just having weird glitches here and there

Got radio out and the compartment drying. Doesn’t seem wet…. Floors far back as I can go right now.

My other concerns in the wire harness because the radio works fine. It’s just the trim lights on it that won’t shut off for some reason. I’m concerned that the harness might be shorted out or something. Is there a for sure way I can diagnose whether it’s the wire harness or the radio? image.jpg
What if water got on these and like shorted something out. I can’t tell if water got that far or not. Every thing appears to be dry.

The more I think about this the more I think you will end up fine. How much water could it be? A sunroof is what ? Less than 2ft x 3ft or 864 square inches. A hard rain is what ? 1-2 inches? If 1.5 inches then you have 1300 cubic inches of water through your sunroof. That’s less than 6 gallons, a little more than a paint bucket. Most of it hit the seats and carpet. And you dried most of that up right away.

I would not intentionally pour a paint bucket of water thru the Sunroof onto the dash and console of my Yukon, but I gotta’ believe this will work out. Good luck.

I can neither confirm nor deny that back in the day we had terrible grounds on main seawater pump motor, ended up brewing up some some super-deionized reactor grade fresh water and flushing out all the windings. A hella’ lot more than 6 gallons. Dried it out meticulously. I’m not suggesting that this was on a submarine, or even that it actually happened. However, whether or not we did this …. It worked great. That motor lasted the rest of the patrol, no problems, good to go. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

So I agree, rain water not the worst thing you could pour on a Yukon.
