Not to knock my GM products at all , but they do have there BS recurring issues , I also have a 2011 Tundra and 2 scions for Dailey drivers and none of my Toyota products have ever needed anything but basic maintenance and tires and are pushing 100k mark , as far as mileage my 09 Tahoe 5.3 2 wheel drive and my 11 tundra 4x4 with 5.7 get close to same mileage .

I've never had continued issues like this with any of my other vehicles. I typically drive them 2-300k before I send them down the road running. This last group of cars were good for the first 30-40k then the switch was flipped. It's been almost $6000.00 in repairs to the 3 since the first of the year. Now I'm looking at the AC and the Rear hatch in the truck so it's going down the road. Toyota was the first thing that popped into my head, the thought is disgusting. Maybe I'll find a 67-9 suburban and get back to simplicity. Maybe a 95 with low miles, my last Yukon didn't get warmed up till it had 200k.

Things are gonna go bad no matter how well you take care of your vehicle, but hell if you feel that strongly about it then by means go for something different. Shouldn't have taken you 18years tho to figure out that you didn't like them.

My dad owned a 2014 tundra and loved everything about it but the terrible gas mileage. Me and him strongly believe tho once they get that gas mileage in check it will be extremely hard for any other truck out there to compete.

I disagree with this. The interior's are seriously lacking, especially for the price point they are trying to achieve. They are also using a worn out 5.7 chevy 350.....LS motors are obviously better, and they are just always a few steps behind.

Sounds like the new ones are a novelty, so literally a novel thought. If I hold out one more year maybe they'll have added more glitchy garbage to go along with the major issues. I may wait just on the hope the price will break 100k for greater built in unreliability.

Had many different vehicles mixed of different brands and models, they all have their problems, some last for many model platforms, you will never find a perfect vehicle. I must say you must be the most unlucky person when it comes to cars to have had that many problems with that many different vehicles as I cannot say I have experienced any of those problems on the different GM vehicles I have had.

This is just my .02 cents. The tundra had twice the leg room as the Silverado. He now owns a 2014 silverado crew cab and that tundra would destroy it in power. He is 6'6" and I'm 6'5" and I could sit comfortably behind him which would never happen in the the Chevy/GMCs and it was even a base model 4x4.

He traded in his 07 escalade for it because of a on going rear end issue and said he would do the same deal over and over again

My father has a platinum f150 crew cab and that thing has more leg room than any vehicle i have ever been in.

But I do think the 5.7 and toyota's building blocks are worn out. Their fit and finish isn't there, my dads ford I would say has the best fit and finish i've seen in awhile. My buddy has a 15 chevy with 5.3 and that thing is stupid quick so much power.

Im not loyal to one brand, but i stick between ford and GM, may go dodge with my next one just because of the cummins.

I have yet to be in a ford with plenty of leg room. That being said I haven't been in a ford in awhile for the fact that I don't even entertain the thought of owning one. We have always been a GM family and always will be but we were also throughly impressed with the tundra and I would go out and buy one and he would happily own another if the gas mileage ever gets better.
