Welp broke something serious

Can this bar be removed? Axle is all the way in but i cant even get a small magnet in there.

Can’t tell what bar it is from that picture. Are you talking about something in the fore ground or something inside the housing?

There is a T shaped reinforcement right in the center. Other forum said I can remove it, some 10mm bolt somewhere?

The next step is to use a slide hammer if the axle shaft is difficult to remove.

Ok using a ratchet strap on the axle i was able to get it pushed in enough.

However, my magnet is still too big so I am off to the parts store to see if they have smaller ones.

Got the unit out, easy with the right tools.

Next to figure out how to get the bearing on and the ring gear off.

Actually don't even need to take the bearings off, that's great. Need to heat up the ring gear and get it to slide off.

I'd replace bearings and seals since you've gone this far. Might as well.

If i can get diff in by noon ill run out and get seals and bearings

Checked backlash. Got .011. Looks like a consistent reading. With new diff do I just match it?
