This has just always pissed me off, now its worse with the rims..if the gas light comes on and i put in about 7 gallons, im lucky to get 100 miles off that $20 or so bucks..i know that the tahoe arnt that good in city, but still..last 20 bucks i got 115 miles, and 90 miles were cruising 55 mph...i have a new fuel filter, oil, air filter, spark plugs, FPR, seafomed, cleaned MAF etc;..also a BB tune on 93 octane..only thing left is 02 sensors..i wanted to wait and get them when i got headers since id be tuning the rears out anyway, but i guess ill get some new front 02s and go from there..i dont really know what else to do..Also ive heard you guys sayin you can spin your tires and shit..i cant even power brake it in the rain on stock tires..thats with the tune and everything..what could be messed up? its got 160k on it but doesnt burn any oil and runs great..

hold off on getting new 02's, if you get LT headers with ORY, you will do away with 02's anyway......

In the city I'm averaging 12-13. If I do more freeway then 14-15. I also recently changed the intake, and did the RP diff fluid change, so I'm hoping to see a increase.

well the front 02s will still be there, but not the rears..i wouldnt get new rears anyway..Justin said they dont effect the mpg at all, they are just there to see if the cats are working..

Besides the headers, new o2s, and a CAI, i really dont know what else i can do..it has exhaust, i baby it for the most part, never cruise over 73 on the interstate, 60 in a 55..

they just get crappy mileage...mine does 12-13 in town, about 16-17 on highway.

Found what headers you plan to go with yet?

That exactly what my '00 LT 5.3L has always gotten since new, no better, no worse.

About 14-15mpg in the city.
With it getting hotter and running your AC more, you will see a decline in gas mileage. I wouldn't have gotten a 93 octane tune. There's no reason to use that high of octane unless you have forced induction. More than likely your timing is advanced requiring a higher octane. When adding more timing, most of the time, you will use more gas in the long run.
Personally, I plan on having an economy tune done to my Tahoe. I just don't see a point in adding performance parts to a vehicle that weighs so much. Logically to me a V8 car would be a better platform to toy with. Less weight, better mileage, spend the same amount in performance parts and you will allways be faster. To each their own though.
