What can you do with the hitch if you do a body lift?

I may have to walk out and look at my hoe, but I have a gap between the body and top of the bumper, not bumper and hitch? Let me go look.......

I would think about moving the bumper up about 1 1/2" that way you split the difference between the 2 and will not look to much out of place

Good call. Did the same thing when I raised my bumper. And yes, my truck is a 2 door with the spare in the back, but Ive seen the 4 door version with and without the hitch, and without the hitch the spare hangs down pretty low

Hey everyone , I'm kinda new to this forum but I have been lifting trucks a little while, When you do a body lift the bumper and hitch stay in the same place, The gap is between the body and bumper, What we use to do is find someone who sold thick rubber for gaskets and fabricated a gasket to hide the gap between the body and the bumper, also cleans it up back there, We also fabricated flares sometimes when we were running larger tires, Just something to think about...

Flip the hitch upside down. seen it done on other trucks. I guess it depends on how high your body lift will be. Maybe put a roll pan in the rear to help hide it?

You can not relocate your bumper and put a gap guard between the bumper and bottom of your tailgate

OK, Let me put this so you can understand.... The bumper and hitch is attached to the frame, When you put a body lift on it it lifts the body,Not the bumper, Not the hitch, You will have a gap between the body and the bumper, You can fabricate a filler whether you use rubber metal or whatever material you want to use it can be done, and it's not nearly as difficult as some people make it sound.....
