Probably why they can sell them for so cheap. Looks like the Spectre filter will fit though.
Yeah. I am ok with it. I tried to make my own but couldn't get it right and couldn't find all the right parts. I was using turbo parts off or big rigs. I found almost everything except the 90 degree bend into the throttle body. It looked ok but I wasn't happy with it. Would have worked but looked like hell. In my opinion lol

I have a spectre CAI but i swapped out the filter for an AEM dry filter. I found them for pretty cheap on ebay, I got two so i always have a washed one ready to swap for the dirty one. I got sick of washing and oiling filters.

I had a spectre cone filter but sold it because it wasn't cleanable. Wouldn't k+n be better in the long run ?
Who said the Spectre isn't cleanable? Mine had cleaning instructions right on the box. Just had to get their cleaning/recharge kit. It's the same as the K&N only not as expensive. Here's a link to the one I have. As you can see, it's definitely advertised as washable and reusable.

This is the way i clean mine but i just spray it with simple green and let it soak for a few minutes because i would never let an air filter get as dirty as the one in the video.

How do you clean them? Similar to k+n? Since it's a dry filter .
They're both oiled media filters. Cleaning is simple and takes about 3 minutes of actual work. Just spray the cleaner on and then hose it out. Let it dry and then spray the oil on according to the instructions, then reinstall.

How's that any easier than cleaning and oiling a Spectre or K&N other than you don't spray oil on it? Which takes about 15 seconds LOL?
