Damn, that speaker was shredded. You should never play John Denver at a level higher than 12, it's on page 43 of the owners manual
Hard not to crank good ole Johnny to the max tho,!

hows the sound? obviously way better than the blown out one but compared to a good functioning stock one?
It's some tight, clean bass, pretty good for an 8" I must admit. I can't really compare to stock mine was blown since I got the truck, I haven't tuned it or anything yet but I like it so far.

It's some tight, clean bass, pretty good for an 8" I must admit. I can't really compare to stock mine was blown since I got the truck, I haven't tuned it or anything yet but I like it so far.
Damn! Looks like it really thumps! What did you pay for it? Shallow mount sub?

Today Factory Sub replacement. New Pioneer didn't fit too easy, had to Dremel the hell out of the box, but it's in there good now.
