I think @Snowbound is doing a conversion similar to that.

LS swap? Yeah, I started to. I was torn, I've put so much time and money into my 99 Denali and I was ready to start over with the LS but with my wedding coming up on the 9th of next month I couldn't work enough hours to fund both. Not to mention the time needed to get everything figured out for the wedding and put in the wrench time. Denali just sat in garage with no intake or fuel system on the sad looking 383. I'll update my build in a little while.

As far as swapping an LS into an OBS, it's about the easiest conversion you can do. I've seen guys modify their stock harness but it's easier to use an LS harness and computer and graft that to the truck. Saves a lot of repinning, swapping connectors and lengthening wiring. I'm not a fan of splices in wiring harness. Connector to connector with no breaks is best. Many conversion mounts available for cheap, little to no modification needed and is heavily supported in the aftermarket world. Can find anything you can imagine.

Thx for chiming in. I wondered what happened to you. Congrats on the impending funeral.... er, nuptials. I've been there twice myself. :D

Shaggy has been getting the occasional P1516 code, which is a throttle position sensor issue. Hopefully the new throttle body takes care of the problem. Also got the throttle body bypass mod for the coolant lines running through there.
