3000k is best for cutting through fog.but these are much of course brighter than halogen and will throw more light out creating more visibility in fog.
It actually creates more glare against the fog but it's low enough that it doesn't reflect back on the driver like headlights would.
I was looking at these, but they seem a bit pricey:

I mean a set of fogs are $30 then $60 for hids ain't too bad. You can also get hids in 3000k color so you still have clear (white) lenses.

There's always Lamin-X http://www.lamin-x.com/ and you can have any color you want plus it protects the fog lights. I used it to smoke mine but you can do yellow or whatever.

First, thank you for your kind reply. Second, I am not single, so spending $60-$90 on fog lights after I just spent $$$ for HIDs is guaranteed to make me 17single...

Ahhhh don't get those panties in a bunch I just hate the stink bug, and leveled just looks boring af. I'm from cali guys that's just how ***** done. It's called just right in my mind and that's what matters

finally got around to installing a woodgrain kit. took about 3 hours.

Im from CA too, never much cared for that look, but if thats what you like go for it. Its a great lookin truck either way.
