LMAO im paying nearly $4 per gallon on 91 here...

  • What are you putting 93 in for? not much use running the higher octane on most of these rigs in stock form. My lq9 can take advantage of it though I think. Costs me nearly $100 per tank in the caddy

im tuned so i run 93 in it, my regals supercharged so that needs the 93 for sure, and for the 20 cents more a gallon, why not.

if it was 4 bucks for 91 id run 87, but its 3.13. and im used to taking the extra hit for the last 10 years with the regal, its painless these days. i do miss the last few years where it was under 3 for 93, iirc it dropped to 245 ish.

Shit, your gas is almost as much as ours now, i would take to trip out 84 to pa, then shoot off 1st exit into jersey which was cheap asf.... or if coming up from gsp, 17 or 287 and make sure i filled up right before state line....years ago.....

Yeah, thx to Christie. He bumped the gas tax up by .25 or .24 cents a gal.

If your gonna do brakes pads and rotors. I'll give you a thing I wish I did. When I got my suburban I did brakes. Now I wish I had done the nnbs upgrade since I was dishing out the money. Not a ton more expensive than just a regular upgrade.

Can you tell me what the NNBS upgrade is? I work for a automotive repair shop so parts are readily available to me. With the larger wheels and tires I'd love to have a bigger front brake set up. I also was thinking of doing the SS lines just to give it that much more of an upgrade. I'm new to the Tahoe world, I would enjoy having some subtle upgrades to keep it from being too flashy or hard to resell.

NNBS upgrade is front rotors, calipers & brackets, pads from the GMT900 (07-14) trucks. It is straight bolt on. The rotors are 13" so you do need a minimum of 17" wheels to run them. Here's a good thread, there are a few more as well. The SS lines have also proven very beneficial.
