OK. I got the WinTec2 Version 2.1.2 software installed on my Note Book running Windoz 7 Ultimate.
I installed to my E: Hard Drive. I'd not use the default install path as Win 7 will lock those files and stop you from editing things.
So if you see 'Program files (x86)'? Delete that part from the install path.
If you have one Hard Drive it should be C:\WINTEC2\
The install will complain about older files. KEEP the newer files! They will work fine as they are backwards compatible.

Once the install is finished do not start the program yet. Go to the folder you installed WINTEC2 into.
RIGHT click on the WINTEC2.exe and select the Compatibility Tab.
Set it for Windows XP Service Pack 2 and click the Run as Administrator. Save and OK. Your done!
The program runs fine BUT I do not have a Tech 2 to fully test.
AND I will have to get a USB to serial port adapter to fully test.

Just chased down a HD hood for the Hoe. Now looking at ordering a Cowl induction scoop to add to it.

So I only know how to replace stuff that I’ve had to replace, if that makes sense lol. Steering isn’t one of them. I smacked a curb head on pretty hard few weeks ago. The alignment was slightly off but nothing seemed broken. After I put the 26” wheels I think they loosened up what might have been damaged and now when I hit bumps there’s a clanking. Not when I turn though. I feel like its the tie rod. But with it up in the air I can’t mimic the sound. I have a buddy who builds bag trucks that lay frame look at it this week. Fingers crossed it’s nothing too major.

with the wheel on, jack it up, then push and pull at 3 and 9 o clock feeling for play. if you got play the tie rod end is bad.

that sway bar end link is looking pretty dry rotted too.

Yea end link I’ll replace at the same time. I turned the tired left to right and couldn’t make the same sound but the that’s when I found some play. But I’m still curious on sound, could the sound be the rotted end link?
