Old girl had a bath today after I put the new power steering lines on last week and she had to sit for a while. I think the power steering has messed up the rubber bushings and such on the whole front drivers side.

Had the same problem with my van. I had to replace the shifter cable. I bent it near where it's bolted to the trans pan and it got messed up internally. My guess is it's your shifter cable--most likely the 2nd half--it's 2 pieces.Shifter moves. Feels a little loose. Truck wont come out of park. Brake lights work. I can grab the linkage at the trans and change gears. Any ideas?

When I put it in neutral with my hands I can use the shifter to put it back into reverse then park. But cannot shift down out of park
